Singapore ranks as the eighth largest market for luxury watches in the world, and to commemorate their passion for fine watches, The Hour Glass, (Mecca for those with a real passion for fine timepieces), annually throws a humdinger of an event:
TEMPUS – The Great Watchscapade.
This five-day exhibition is the only event of its kind and scale in the world. Not only will it model the presentation style of the annual world watch fairs in Basel and Geneva, it will also include five full days of educational and hands-on activities related to the world of high end watchmaking.
Visitors can learn the fundamentals and gain first hand knowledge of watchmaking within a day in a workshop conducted by Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre, or be taught by Harry Winston’s GIA certified gemologists on how to distinguish high grade diamonds from inferior gemstones and at the same time receive a certification upon completion of the course.
Breguet will also honour The Hour Glass with a stunning commemorative edition to mark its silver anniversary. Limited to just 25 pieces, this pink gold model features a unique 18K gold and slate grey guilloche dial.
This is the first time in Breguet’s history of producing a commemorative edition together with one of its retail partners. Retailing for S$152,000, the CLASSIQUE 5353 (pictured) sets a new standard for timekeeping. Held in Singapore every Fall, the exhibition is open daily to the public.
